Andrew University’s study found less than 70% of Adventists worldwide have confident assurance of present salvation. Interesting study that should be studied further. I believe one of the reasons for this has to do with maintaining one’s salvation. How does one know they have done enough to maintain it? One will never know, hence creating insecurity of their salvation.

The Investigative Judgement is a hellish doctrine that has no Biblical evidence . Read Hebrews 9 where our Lord entered the Most Holy Place in ad31 not 1844. Repent for this false doctrine Pastor Nelson Mercado

GET a journal everyone and record everything that God does, small or big, write it ALL down Also write in this journal prayers to Jesus and date them and come back and see how wonderfully God answers those prayers. You will be so amazed and blessed by doing this. For me it is who Jesus is. I am reminded daily who He is and who is in control and who deserves all honour and praise.

I have five children. I want to pray fod all of them ages 12-24

Prophecy is SUPPOSE to be relevant in the Seventh-day Adventist church, but sadly it no longer is. The claim that it is NOW relevant is a reflection upon the thinking and theology of the speaker. And far that reason l am distrustful of his theology. Does he not hear? Does he not see? Most Adventists and especially the leadership no longer hold to "the faith once delivered to the saints."

I can't listen enough of him, I want to listen to his preaching over and over and over again. God bless you Pastor Pavel Goya.

I would have to say that this sermon has the typical questions that arise when people talk about perfection. ‘Never seen anyone who is perfect have you?’ Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Just as being baptised should result in a changed heart that is supernatural, so walk in Christ as you were baptized into Christ. Jesus is supplying our needs, its relational depends on God for gifts of the Spirit in the things we lack. As a flower turns to the sun, that the bright rays may touch it with tints of beauty, so will the soul turn to the Sun of Righteousness, that heaven's light may beautify the character with the graces of the character of Christ. {DA 468.2} It is stated perfection has nothing to do with sinlessness when we love our neighbours rather has everything to do with being perfect in Christ and is evidence of the Spirit of God working on the heart. LGT is not something new and catching on it comes from the strong statements of EGW, from statements that we would naturally say are impossible. So, we say well it’s a matter of context. When the time on earth here is done the character is fixed for eternity and we best reflect the character of Jesus here and now. That’s not just LGT but all the generations, except LGT come to a unique period because EGW makes it plain that Christ’s intercession will cease in the heavenly sanctuary just prior to His return. EGW statements help us to understand the vital messages of Revelation and the urgency to be right with God and filled with His Spirit so as to be a light in the world. Receiving the Holy Spirit in the latter rain is given only to those that have prepared their character. How? By their relationship with God. I can’t tell you of anyone who believes that salvation depends of their own performance and they have said I am perfect. Granted there are many misconceptions of the gospel because of the denomination’s rejection of the 1888 message. The development of LGT theology came from the nature of Christ and was an outgrowth of the 1888 message and people exploring the answers for what seemed from a human perspective as impossible. It is stated here nowhere in the Bible is Biblical perfect equated to sinlessness. 1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Yes and if we lose sight of Jesus there is pardon. The reference to Paul in Romans 7 reveals a confused gospel unfortunately in which Paul says Romans 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. This is not the experience of a converted man but rather points to the condition we find ourselves in when sold under sin. Where on earth can you find a statement of this? You can't because it is heaven-sent. Has perfection something to do with sinlessness? Everyone who by faith obeys God's commandments will reach the condition of sinlessness in which Adam lived before his transgression. {HP 146.5} What’s the context here? ‘Everyone who believes on Christ, everyone who relies on the keeping power of a risen Saviour that has suffered the penalty pronounced upon the transgressor, everyone who resists temptation and in the midst of evil copies the pattern given in the Christ life, will through faith in the atoning sacrifice of Christ become a partaker of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.’ That we shall know and come to a place that we know we are perfect? Its not the reality of anyone I have come across in SDAism. Perfection is realized as we acknowledge and understand our inability and Christ’s ability, asking and receiving. The Bible points this out from the beginning- Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that [there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. Job feareth God, and escheweth evil. Job God knew already Job would not deny Him under adverse circumstances. NOTICE: Job 9:20 If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: [if I say], I [am] perfect, it shall also prove me perverse. He who bears with him a continual sense of the presence of Christ cannot indulge self-confidence or self-righteousness. None of the prophets or apostles made proud boasts of holiness. The nearer they came to perfection of character, the less worthy and righteous they viewed themselves. But those who have the least sense of the perfection of Jesus, those whose eyes are least directed to Him, are the ones who make the strongest claim to perfection. {FW 54.1} Ok why are we not preaching this? How are we to live? He lived a sinless life. Now by His divinity He lays hold upon the throne of heaven, while by His humanity He reaches us. He bids us by faith in Him attain to the glory of the character of God. Therefore are we to be perfect, even as our "Father which is in heaven is perfect." {DA 311.5} I saw that none could share the "refreshing" unless they obtain the victory over every besetment, over pride, selfishness, love of the world, and over every wrong word and action. We should therefore be drawing nearer and nearer to the Lord and be earnestly seeking that preparation necessary to enable us to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord.--EW 71 (1851). {LDE 192.2} It is left with us to remedy the defects in our characters, to cleanse the soul temple of every defilement. Then the latter rain will fall upon us as the early rain fell upon the disciples on the Day of Pentecost.--5T 214 (1882). {LDE 192.3} Left with us? Yes, we have a choice to make so in that sense there is work for us to do. We may keep so near to God that in every unexpected trial our thoughts will turn to Him as naturally as the flower turns to the sun.--SC 99, 100 (1892). There seems to be confusion about concepts that relate to the gospel that is unique & especially given to SDAs.
